“Zdeněk Fránek. The Scale and Measure” at Jaroslav Fragner Gallery Prague

Fránek Architects: The Scale and Measure exhibition at Prague’s Jaroslav Fragner Gallery will show how contemporary architecture relates to the public. The leading architectural studio in the Czech Republic will introduce its profile projects of recent times: the Skywalk observation tower in Dolní Morava, a study of the residential Face House in Prague as well as the energy self-sufficient Liko Noe building.

Despite different typologies, construction and technologies, all three projects share an unusual extent of intervention. These projects move the public and place questions abstracting from the discipline of architecture itself. They shift and define the level of tolerance, imagination and empathy. The exhibition itself reaches out to both the audience and users through their interactive concepts, based on an intensive understanding of the space and environment of the buildings.

“Every year we prepare several exhibitions that observe often fragile relationship between architects and users. We will also affect the sensitive issues related to aesthetics or taking its time daring constructions. For Zdenek franc is precisely this key. Intentionally moves on edge. not so much a provocation, but rather about identifying where the degree of tolerance, imagination and empathy to the public, “explains Dan Merta, Director Jaroslav Fragner Gallery. His words are indeed true for seasonal dramaturgy festival Open Air Arena in Bethlehem Square, which until autumn will introduce several outstanding representatives of contemporary alternative music.

Franek Architects Exhibition: “Zdeněk Fránek. The Scale and Measure” will last until July 24. And in addition to these two projects, visitors can literally touch one more Fránková creation – passive energy technology center Liko Noah, who grew up in Austerlitz. Advanced technologies and overall building structure show where it could or should evolve in architecture and engineering in the future.

Indeed, a considerable part of the visionary is the common denominator for most of the implementation plans and Zdenek Frank and his associates. They thus penetrate into the lives of users and viewers intensely and more often than at the usual contemporary Czech architecture.
