The exhibition, curated by Benno Albrecht e Anna Magrin, shows various interpretations of the theme in Leonardo Benevolo’s original drawings, videos, maps, and infographics.

“Gio Ponti: Infinite Blue” at La Triennale di Milano

The exhibition presents Gio Ponti’s original drawings for the Hotel Parco dei Principi, with all his production notes and photographs of the company workshop where the architect worked together with craftsman and workers, as well as a display of the original ceramics in the building.

Gio Ponti’s design for the Hotel Parco dei Principi in Sorrento has become part of the history of Italian architecture. The project involved the entire building and, in particular, in collaboration with Ceramica D’Agostino, a series of blue-and-white ceramic decorations transformed a hundred rooms, together with the lobby, the reception area, the bar and the restaurant. The decorations consisted of “mathematical and geometric” combinations of a complete series of 27 patterns which, then as now, were reproduced by hand on 20 x 20 cm maiolica tiles. (more…)

“Mario Bellini: Italian Beauty” at La Triennale di Milano

The show opens exactly thirty years after his first solo exhibition at the MoMa museum of New York. The present exhibition pays tribute to the Italian architect’s design both in large and small scale projects from over 60 years of work.

Mario Bellini: Italian Beauty is the title of the exhibition that La Triennale di Milano is devoting to the entire works of the world- famous Milanese architect, from 19 January to 19 March 2017. The sweeping overview spans almost 60 years of design, architecture, exhibition design and more besides.

This retrospective exhibition opens exactly thirty years after the show that MoMA dedicated to him in New York. The 1987 exhibition examined his work as a designer, which were represented by 25 works in the museum’s permanent collection.  (more…)

Triennale di Milano presents an exhibition of photographs by Ljubodrag Andric, a renowned Serbian photographer  whose work revolves around architectural surfaces, textures and shapes.
