“Social housing” book presentation and exhibition at RIBA London

RIBA presents an exhibition based on Paul Karakusevic and Abigail Bachelor’s new book, which explores the theme of new public housing from across Europe at a pivotal time for the sector.

To celebrate the launch of Paul Karakusevic and Abigail Bachelor’s new book on the theme of social housing, the RIBA is hosting an exhibition, ‘Social Housing – Definitions and Design Exemplars’ running from 18 April – 28 May 2017. Curated by Karakusevic Carson Architects it features projects by diverse practices from the book including BIQ/Hans van der Heijden, Lacaton & Vassal and LAN architecture and a discussion on Tuesday 16 May. The Cities Connection Project at Architekturforum Zürich

The third edition of the CCP connects Zurich and Barcelona with two architecture exhibitions: Import Zurich. Cooperative housing: New Ways of Inhabiting (celebrated at COAC on October 2015) and Export BARCELONA. Social Housing in Urban Context, at Architekturforum Zürich during May 2016.

The Cities Connection Project (CCP) is a connector between cities and their architecture, created by architects Nicola Regusci and Xavier Bustos, with the aim of generating synergies between architects, cultural agents, governments and universities among European cities. Swiss city of Zurich, with its strong tradition of new models of cooperative housing, and Barcelona have been chosen for this year’s event.
