“Forum Basel. Urban Spaces for Community Life” at the Swiss Architecture Museum

SAM Basel hosts an experimental exhibition and installation in which the museum’s rooms open up to the public hosting activities, architectural projects and case studies, becoming a place for collective dialog on public space.

Welcome to the public spaces of the S AM Swiss Architecture Museum! In keeping with the original purpose of the ‘Museion’ of Greek Antiquity, S AM is to be a house for public life from 20 May to 18 June.

Visitors can dwell in a co-working space in the first room, play table tennis in the second, get the feeling of being at a marketplace in the third or at a cinema in the fourth. Become part of public life at S AM and use its rooms for working, playing, reading, eating and relaxing. Commercial or political uses are strictly prohibited. (more…)

“Concept & notation”: Bernard Tschumi’s retrospective travels to Basel

From the 9th of May to the 23rd of August 2015, the Swiss Architecture Museum presents the exhibition “Bernard Tschumi. Architecture: Concept & Notation”, an adaptation of his first great European retrospective, which was first shown in 2014 in the Centre Pompidou.

From the 9th of May to the 23rd of August 2015, the S·AM (Swiss Architecture Museum) presents the exhibition “Bernard Tschumi. Architecture: Concept & Notation“. The exhibition is an adaptation of the first great European retrospective on this influential theorist and practitioner Bernard Tschumi, which was first shown in 2014 in the Centre Pompidou, Paris.
