“Jardin Essentiel: Distilling nature into Nature” in Brussels

Initiated by Brussels Environment in 2006, Parckdesign is a unique biennial event enhancing social and environmental awareness and citizen participation to create new green spaces in the city.

Jardin Essentiel (Essential Garden) is the title of the 2016 edition, which will open on July 14th, 2016 at Duden Park. Located in the municipality of Forest in Brussels, this 19th century monumental park will play as the epicentre for a wide range of activities involving residents and neighbours, social and cultural associations. Additional satellite events will take place in other parks of the city (Elisa- beth Park, Carré Tillens and Neerpede, Tour- nay-Solvay Park). (more…)

“Hispania Nostra: Revisiting Spanish Heritage in Europe” at COAM

The exhibition is presented as a walkthrough of Hispania Nostra’s (Spanish association for the defense of natural and cultural heritage) work, celebrating the awards that Spain has received from Europe during the last four decades.

The exhibition showcases 191 spanish projects regarding the country’s Cultural and Natural Heritage Sites that have received any of the Europa Nostra Awards in the last 40 years.

“Atelier ST – Mittendrin” at Architektur Galerie Berlin

The exhibition presents three projects by Atelier ST using a visual and acustical journey trough the sites and buildings, in an attempt to portray the space and atmosphere of their architecture.

“Artscape Norway” at Jaroslav Fragner Gallery Prague

The Artscape Norway international project uses photography, documentary film and video art to present artworks and small pieces of architecture that have become part of the Norwegian landscape and public space.

Monumental sculptures, suspended vantage points, original rest stops and information boards – a true Nature Gallery. These are the tourist attractions on the trails woven into the breathtaking Norwegian landscape. The Jaroslav Fragner Gallery in Prague presents several of these implementations within the Artscape Norway multimedia exhibition project. The eye-catching creations in the Norwegian countryside are captured in photographs — themselves works of art — by two top photographers. The photographs are signed by Czech-Norwegian photographer Jiří Havran and Filip Šlapal who works in the Czech Republic. (more…)
