Michele De Lucchi returns to Galleria Antonia Jannone with “Cataste”

Michele De Lucchi returns to the Antonia Jannone Gallery in Milan with Cataste, the new exhibition dedicated to a series of unpublished sculptures and works on paper. With Cataste he tackles again the themes dear to him: nature, simplicity, building, collecting, preserving, healing, ordering, taking and shaping.

The ten sculptures in walnut wood, as well as the drawings on paper, all works created in 2017, tell the same number of worlds, as many forms. The stacks are made simple, necessary, inaccessible, so De Lucchi’s sculptures become symbols of an ancient construction and offer a reflection on today’s aesthetic and functional values. (more…)
