Reporting from the front: 2016 Spanish and Italian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale

This years edition, curated by Chilean architect Alejandro Aravena, focuses on the work of architects that show how creativity and commitment can transcend material constraints. “Taking Care” and “Unfinished” are the Italian and Spanish Pavilions – the latter of which has been awarded with the Golden Lion for Best National Participation.

This year’s Venice Biennale, to be held from May 28 to November 27th 2016, has been curated by Chilean architect Alejandro Aravena.  Under the title “Reporting from the Front” the mission statement of  the curator of the 15. Mostra Internazionale di Architettura – La Biennale di Venezia, aims to present a combative and decisive architecture that managed to solve the major challenges the world is facing today. (more…)
