Through the act, the line and the drawing as the same language, this installation analyses and redefines the relationship between the hand and the brain: with the drawing as the meeting point, either in the human or in the robotic form.

‘Path to Heaven’ is constantly tracing lines, shapes, possible paths. In fact, he makes one every day. In the same way that our speeches and arguments need to overcome doubts in order to be developed, the line drawn needs objects, which must avoid in order to grow in complexity. In this case, the line that the machines draw is just one. It is a path that is created slowly on the big sheet in the middle of the room, avoiding an Atlas of points; a live map of space waste.
LEOO (Low Earth Orbit Objects) could be considered as the constellations of our time. Since 1957 with Sputnick 1, the first artificial satellite that was sent into space, as Humanity we have been sending more. So many, that today there are about 18,000 objects orbiting around the Earth. All this matter above us has appeared as the tangible result of the (intangible) information and communication network to which we have become used to. ‘Path to Heaven’ maps these new constellations and traces a path between them.
‘Path to Heaven’ is a performative piece that shows the audience the importance of the language behind the methodology of drawing, form, and discourse. Each day the machines will draw a map that will avoid the objects that orbit in the atmosphere above Barcelona, and whose line runs towards its own Heaven.
