One week left to vote for the BigMat International Award 2017 Public Prize!

Vote now! The winner of the Public Choice Award will be announced along with the other prizes and will be invited to attend the Awards Ceremony of the BigMat’17 International Architecture Award, which will take place at Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Italy, on November 24th.

Until October 24, 2017 you can vote for any three of your favourite projects among the 87 shortlisted in the BigMat International Architecture Award. Voting is open for all citizens residing in any of the participating countries: Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The project chosen by the participants will be included in the catalogue along with the other winning entries. The prize will be also awarded with 1.500 euros.

From July 24, following the announcement of the finalists for the International Architecture Award 2017, the competition was opened to the public by allowing you to vote for your favorite individual or team. Any three of the 87 selected shortlisted projects  are eligible for the Public Prize by voting in BigMat International Architecture Award’s official website.

Out of a total of almost nine hundred projects presented across the seven European countries taking part in the Award (Belgium, Spain, France, Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Portugal), the panel of judges chaired by Jesús Aparicio and comprising Xaveer de Geyter (Belgium), Henrieta Moravčíková (Czech Republic +Slovakia), Marc Barani(France), Francesco Isidori (Italy), Paulo David (Portugal + Spain), and awards secretary Jesús Donaire, singled out 87 shortlisted projects.

LEGAL RULES & PRIZE

Introduced this year as an additional prize category, the Public Prize is the only category not awarded by the jury. Instead, the winner is selected by the public. You can choose up to three of the 87 selected shortlisted projects eligible for the Public Prize by voting in BigMat International Architecture Award’s official website.

The winner of the Public Prize 2017 will be announced along with the other six categories – Architecture, Sustainability, City and Landscape, Restoration, Interior Design and Ephemeral Architecture – at the BigMat International Architecture Award ceremony on 24 November in Florence. Remember, you can only vote once among 87 preselected by the Jury if you reside in one of the seven participant countries. The voting period closes on October 24, 2017.

BigMat ’17 Public Prize is worth 1,500 euros. The winner of the Popular Prize 2017 will be announced along theBigMat International Award ceremony on 24 November in Florence.

The Public Prize may not be declared void and can be awarded ex aequo. In case of a tie, the prize will be divided between the winners. In addition, a catalogue will be produced with the works awarded a prize. The final economic amount of the prize will be paid to the authors or co-authors listed on the registration form applying for the Prize and will be regulated by the tax agreements in place between Luxembourg and each of the countries of the respective authors of the projects.
