It consists of a series of models, perspective views and collages arranged alongside artists’ drawings, paintings and photographs in the main gallery at arc en rêve, reflecting a way of conceiving architecture that excels in paradoxical situations by playing with the tense relationship between contradiction and perfection.

Architecture Center Arc en Rêve
7 Rue Ferrere, 33000 Bordeaux,
Set up in Brussels in 2002, OFFICE is internationally recognised for its personal approach to architecture, producing designs that demonstrate both freedom and restraint. The architecture designed by OFFICE expresses itself in its purest essence and form by working with basic geometric rules: squares, circles, triangles, etc. This simple, tightly disciplined approach produces spaces that are open to a complex range of uses: residents are offered highly controlled frameworks within which their lives can take root.
OFFICE explores all scales, producing actual buildings and theoretical projects in the fields of design, urban design and architecture; this way of working also involves interacting with the world of research and education.
Everything the firm produces — buildings on paper or in stone, theoretical work, models, etc. — must be considered projects in their own right.Everything shown in the exhibition is architecture.
everything architecture is based on the idea that the added value of architecture is tiny compared to the confusing mass of buildings that make up our environment. According to Kersten Geers and David Van Severen, its value arise from precise decisions made throughout the life of the project—especially with regard to how it relates to culture and the world at large.
