“A poet of architecture: Pier Niccolò Berardi and Fiesole”
1 June – 20 July, 2019
Basolato di Fiesole
Piazza Mino, Fiesole
Pier Niccolò Berardi and Fiesole evokes some moments of the artistic history of Berardi, intertwined with the vicissitudes of the architecture of the last century, along a period of time that from the 30s comes to the end of the 80s. The exhibition analyzes the many facets that have characterized his work, through paintings, projects and photographs.
“Architecture is an art that is recharged with poetry,” Berardi declared, and this exhibition, in addition to its never-broken link with Fiesole, aims to put the accent precisely on his poetic work, inspired by a constant search for harmony. His workshop, a few steps from the villa where he lived, kept a ground floor dedicated to the profession of architect while upstairs there was his painting atelier: designing, painting and photographing are elements that constantly interpenetrate within his work.
